Quality Standards


        1.   All instructions and specifications provided by the client will be followed.

2.   There should be no mistranslations. The meaning and messages of the source language should be correctly rendered.

3.   Terminology usage should adhere to the glossary provided (if applicable) and should be internally consistent. Terminology translation among the menus, buttons, online help, publications, and website must be correct and consistent.

4.   There should be no excessively long, unclear, or incomplete sentences. All translations should be readable and written in a professional style.

5.   Software menu translations should be consistent with the menu of the corresponding localized operating system.

6.   Translations should be complete, without any omissions.

7.   The target language conventions should be correct and consistent (e.g., punctuation, expression of dates, numbers, and titles).

8.   Titles, subtitles, headers and footers, TOC, indices, figures, tables, and any other elements must be compared and cross-referenced, and should be correct and uniform.

9.   The style and format should be consistent and in accordance with the client's style requirements. If the client does not provide style specifications, they should adhere to "Global Bowen Localization Style and Format Standards."

10.  There should be no misspelling or typographical errors (including in names, numbers, and dates).

11.  Text attributes (bold, italics, underlining, etc.) should be correct and consistent.

12.  Callouts should be placed correctly within graphics, and graphics must be placed correctly and coincide with the text.

13.  The TOC should be correct with respect to chapters, sections, and page numbers.

14.  The Index items and page numbers should match. The index order should be properly adjusted according to the conventions of the target langauge.

15.  Cross-referencing within the text should correspond to the names and page numbers of sections.

16.  The publications layout (header/footer style, pagination style, insertion of blank pages, etc.) should be done in the professional style of the target language publication standards.
